Our aim at New Morning Montessori is to help children develop their potential using the educational principles of Maria Montessori. Children who have been educated in this method grow into competent, lifelong learners. This solid foundation creates happy, confident, and contributing adults.
At New Morning, each classroom operates on the principle of freedom within limits. Children work with learning materials at their own pace, while the teacher observes them to determine which new activities to introduce next. Our aim is to encourage self-directed learning and mutual respect for others and the classroom environment. The multi-age span in class, ages 2 1/2 through 6, provides a family-like atmosphere where learning takes place naturally. A mixed age group enables the older, more socially advanced and capable children to become role models for the younger ones.
An Invitation to Parents
You are invited to visit our beautiful classes in session. We at New Morning Montessori have been educating and caring for area children since 1983. We are proud of our experienced, caring and responsive faculty who direct their classes in a calm and nurturing environment. We are a small community school where teachers stay for many years allowing us to build lasting relationships with our families. One of our families will be happy to tell you more about us; just ask for a reference list when you visit. Please do not hesitate to contact me at 630-773-8390 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. Visiting days are by appointment. I look forward to meeting you and your child.
